Rehau – NUVELOS

REHAU launches e-bike with innovative approach – Sachsenring Bike Manufaktur GmbH carries out final assembly of the NUVELOS e-bikes

Sangerhausen, 06.09.2019, the frame of the REHAU e-bike is manufactured in an injection molding process which is unique in the bicycle industry. It is made of fibre-reinforced plastic and is 100% recyclable. End of 2016, the polymer specialist founded the NUVELOS team and started working on the development of the first REHAU
e-bikes.

“When looking for a strong partner in the bike industry, our focus was set on the expertise in the e-bike sector as well as on many years of experience in bicycle production,” NUVELOS CEO Alexander Oelschlegel explains. “Sachsenring Bike Manufaktur, headquartered in Sangerhausen, additionally offers a very well networked nationwide on-site service, which in my opinion is indispensable for an e-bike,” Oelschlegel continues.

The NUVELOS e-bike is available as a touring and trekking bike, in two sizes each and several possible equipment levels, with chain or hub gear and with two different types of engines. The built-in battery supports up to a cruising range of 100 kilometers.

“We are very pleased to continue expanding our existing portfolio with NUVELOS’ exceptional and high-quality e-bike models to further meet demand in the fast-growing European market,” Stefan Zubcic, Managing Director of Sachsenring Bike Manufaktur, said.
